Bert’s K9 Helper, Murphy

Murphy may be small, but she’s mighty. Specializing in detecting treats within a mile radius, she’s both lovable and sharp, assisting in correcting dogs when needed. A true alpha in just eleven pounds, Murphy also supports reactive dogs. Her calm, aloof demeanor teaches them that not every dog or situation requires a reaction. Her ability to stay unbothered helps dogs learn patience, focus, and self-control.

Bert leads the operations and growth strategy behind The K9’s Virtue. With more than a decade of experience in sales and business development, she plays a key role in expanding the company’s reach through partnerships, events, and community engagement.

Having personally gone through training with Emily, Bert witnessed firsthand the powerful transformation that structured, thoughtful training can create between dogs and their owners. That experience drives her mission to help bring this work to more families.

While she works primarily behind the scenes, you’ll often see Bert welcoming clients on their first day of training and celebrating their success at the finish.
