Ru
Ru relaxing at the CrossFit Gym.
Ru graduated from our Obedience Program in March of 2026.
Hiring The K9s Virtue was the best decision we have made for our puppy, Ru. Ru is a 6 month old mini aussie-bernadoodle- so she is smart and incredibly stubborn. We worked with Amanda, who is absolutely incredible, and there is a noticeable difference in Ru's behavior in only 3 weeks. More importantly we learned how to work with Ru so we can continue her training moving forward.
With previous dogs I have tried training camps (great until I couldn't keep up with the training because our dog had learned it in the silo of camp) and weekly training group classes (fine but hard to make real progress) and this has been the absolute best solution. We made the time to participate in the sessions with Amanda, so we feel super confident that Ru knows how to listen to us, and we know how to communicate effectively with her.
Amanda showed up day 1 with all the materials we needed to train (long lead, place cot, treats, the treat pouches we ended up living in, etc) and even without that the value of this program is massive. Amanda was beyond patient, so positive and helped us understand WHY we were doing what we were doing.
Beyond general training, we focused on Ru's tendency toward separation anxiety, beyond excited reactions to dogs/humans, and walking nicely on a leash. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to have a stronger relationship with their dog- even if there aren't "major issues." I feel more confident in our ability to navigate any situation we face with Ru for the rest of her life.
