  • In-home boarding allows your dog to stay in a place where they already feel safe, comfortable, and secure while you’re away. Instead of adding the stress of a new environment, new smells, and unfamiliar routines, your dog gets to stay in their own home and maintain the structure they’re used to.

Our go-to sitter, Lauren, is excellent and very experienced with reactive dogs. She understands how important it is to respect boundaries, manage the environment, and keep routines consistent so your dog stays calm and successful while you’re gone. This is especially important for dogs who struggle with anxiety, reactivity, or big changes in environment.

Choosing in-home care instead of boarding at someone else’s house can significantly ease anxiety and prevent setbacks in training. Your dog can stick to their normal walk schedule, feeding routine, crate time, and house rules, which keeps them happier, healthier, and more relaxed overall. It also gives you peace of mind knowing your dog is being cared for in a familiar environment by someone who understands their needs.

About Lauren

Lauren developed a love for dogs early on, growing up around German Shepherds. These days, you can find her spending time with her family dog, Koa, fawning over Atlas, and sneaking in as many dog snuggles as she can.

We’re excited to introduce Lauren as the newest addition to The K9’s Virtue team! She will be stepping in as our go to contact for in home boarding. Lauren not only has a genuine love for dogs, but she is also well-versed in our training practices, ensuring your dog receives consistent structure and care while you’re away.
